Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature : ABELL

The Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (ABELL) lists monographs, periodical articles, critical editions of literary works, book reviews and collections of essays published anywhere in the world; unpublished doctoral dissertations are covered for the period 1920–1999. The bibliography consists of 80 volumes, beginning in 1920 and issued annually; a number of items published between 1892 and 1919 has been indexed retrospectively.

This release of ABELL covers the complete volumes from 1920–2007.

Oxford Encyclopedia of Women in World History

With over 650 biographies of influential women and over 600 topical articles covering topics such as geography and history, culture and society, organizations, movements, and gender studies, Women in World History is the definitive reference work in the field.

Bernoulli

Bernoulli is published by the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability and disseminated by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics on behalf of the Bernoulli Society. The journal provides a comprehensive account of important developments in the fields of statistics and probability, offering an international forum for both theoretical and applied work.

Neuroethics

Neuroethics will provide a forum for interdisciplinary studies in neuroethics and related issues in the sciences of the mind. In particular the journal will focus on the ethical issues posed by the new technologies developed via neuroscience.

This journal will be published open access for 2008 & 2009, upon which time Northwestern University Library will subscribe to all content.

Portugaliae Mathematica

Published by the European Mathematical Society with the support of the Portuguese Science Foundation.

Since its foundation in 1937, Portugaliae Mathematica has aimed at publishing high-level research articles in all branches of mathematics. With great efforts by its founders, the journal was able to publish articles by some of the best mathematicians of the time. In 2001 a New Series of Portugaliae Mathematica was started, reaffirming the purpose of maintaining a high-level research journal in mathematics with a wide range scope.

Eastern Christian Art

Eastern Christian Art is devoted to studies in Christian art and archaeology in the Middle East. Its aim is to present studies about the Christian material culture in countries of the Middle East within a broad, interdisciplinary context, including Late Antique, Byzantine, Islamic, and crusader elements.

Wasafiri

Wasafiri is a literary magazine at the forefront in mapping new landscapes in contemporary international literature today. In over twenty years of publishing, it has continued to provide consistent coverage to Britain’s diverse cultural heritage and publishes a range of diasporic and migrant writing worldwide. Since its inception in 1984, it has focused on writing as a form of cultural travelling (‘wasafiri’ is ‘Kiswahili’ for traveller) and extended the established boundaries of literary culture.

Journal of the American Planning Association
