Oud Holland - Quarterly for Dutch Art History

The periodical Oud Holland is the oldest surviving art-historical periodical in the world. Founded by A.D. de Vries and N. der Roever in 1883, it has appeared virtually without interruption ever since. It is entirely devoted to the visual arts in the Netherlands up to the mid-nineteenth century and has featured thousands of scholarly articles by Dutch and foreign authors, including numerous pioneering art-historical studies.

Visual Resources

Visual Resources: An International Journal of Documentation is devoted to the study of images and their uses. While images of architecture and works of art constitute its main focus, it also includes other subjects and contexts in a wide range of formats. Its scope delves into the past and looks toward the future, revealing how images have influenced the perception of art and how the interpretation of images conditions and enhances academic disciplines such as archaeology, history, and particularly art and architectural history.

Grove Art Online has now become the cornerstone of Oxford’s online art reference collection, Oxford Art Online.  This launch represents a long-anticipated upgrade in site functionality and graphic design. With this new release, the searchability and presentation of Grove art content has been significantly improved.

Eastern Christian Art

Eastern Christian Art is devoted to studies in Christian art and archaeology in the Middle East.
