The journal Human Nature advances the interdisciplinary investigation of the biological, social, and environmental factors that underlie human behavior. It focuses primarily on the functional unity in which these factors are continuously and mutually interactive. These include the evolutionary, biological, and sociological processes as they interact with human social behavior; the biological and demographic consequences of human history; the cross-cultural, cross-species, and historical perspectives on human behavior; and the relevance of a biosocial perspective to scientific, social, and policy issues.

At Science in Society, we believe that science is fundamental, even “elemental” to our lives. Science affects us in many ways, from medical advances that touch our lives personally, to state and federal policy decisions concerning the environment or research regulations that impact our society at large.

Neuroethics will provide a forum for interdisciplinary studies in neuroethics and related issues in the sciences of the mind. In particular the journal will focus on the ethical issues posed by the new technologies developed via neuroscience.

This journal will be published open access for 2008 & 2009, upon which time Northwestern University Library will subscribe to all content.
