World Newspaper Archive
The World Newspaper Archive is a collection of historical newspapers from around the world. Begins with Latin American newspapers from the 19th and 20th centuries. Forthcoming are African, European, Middle Eastern, South Asian, and Southeast Asian newspapers. Can be cross-searched with collection: America’s historical newspapers.
The World Newspaper Archive Latin American collection will be a rolling release, with completion of the c. 900,000 pages scheduled for Fall 2009. Approximately 70,000 pages are expected to be processed monthly, with periodic releases of new titles.

Interdisciplinary in nature, this acclaimed database of nearly 60,000 records furthers
research, teaching and scholarship for Chicano studies programs and broader ethnic
studies curricula. Coverage from the 1960s to the present, with selective coverage dating back to the early 1900s.

Caribbean Literature
Caribbean Literature is a searchable collection of poetry and fiction produced in the region during the 19th and 20th centuries. Among the titles selected are numerous rare and hard-to-find works written in English, French, Spanish, Dutch, and various Creole languages. Future releases will also feature journals, reference works, and interviews with key writers. New content is uploaded on a biweekly basis, giving users immediate access to a steadily growing treasury of classic, rare, and contemporary literature. The database currently has over 26,000 pages.

Web site for online analysis of the Latinobarómetro. Provides summary level public opinion data for Latin America for the period 1995-2005, excluding 1999. Users can analyze survey results online.
Data files are only available in Main Library, Government and Geographic Information and Data Services Department.
Latinobarómetro es un estudio de opinión pública que aplica anualmente alrededor de 19.000 entrevistas en 18 países de América Latina representando a más de 400 millones de habitantes. La Corporación Latinobarómetro, indaga sobre el desarrollo de la democracia y las economías, así como las sociedades con indicadores de opinión, actitudes, comportamientos y valores.

A collection of thousands of books and articles on cultures from all regions of the world; provides information on particular cultures, ethnic groups, or immigrant groups, their beliefs and superstitions, or subjects such as political structure, architecture, kinship units, or settlement patterns.
